Here are some photos of our little family trip to Wakayama Japan. It is about a 3 hour drive from our house.
Wakayama is a famous little summer town. On the east coast of Japan it is a small seaside town. In summer it is a very popular spot for swimming and in winter it is famous for 'Onsen' which means hot bath. Lots and lots of famous hot springs.

We like going here a couple times a year to relax and unwind, eat some good food, drink a lot of beer and enjoy Onsen.

Here we go!



This first photo is of my two kids. In the background is Shirarahama Beach in Shirahama Japan. This is a really nice beach. In summertime it is just packed.
Hard to see but it is a white sand beach. The sand, all of it, was imported from Australia. Cool eh!




The next photo is of yours truly! We are at a Science Center like place called Energy Land. This is a fun house where you can stand on a huge angle and not fall over!









These are photos of my kids at Adventure World, kinda of an Amusement park and Zoo all rolled into one!

That's it for photos. Actually, this was in early October and not November!

We are going there again for a very short one night, two day trip December 29th. It's really cold in Osaka now and that's the best time to enjoy 'Onsen'. Especially the outside ones because you gotta run butt naked from the inside bath to the outside bath.


We will also be eating 'Tepanyaki'. That is steak where they cook it on a big open grill right in front of you. Looking forward to it!!
